FROM FIRST CONVERSATION TO FINAL DETAIL

Clear plans.
Better building.

A relaxed project starts with clear expectations. Here’s how we work, what we need from you, and what you can expect from us.

THE JOURNEY

Six simple steps.
No surprises.

You bring the vision. We bring the tools, careful planning, and experience to bring it to life.

Start a conversation ↗

Tell us your idea

Reach out with your goals, the address and the kind of project you have in mind. We'll arrange a mutually convenient time to talk.

Walk the property together

We assess what exists, hear what you'd like to change, and discuss site conditions, access, materials and practical constraints.

Receive a written scope

We'll prepare a project-specific scope, estimated schedule, payment milestones and material responsibilities. Estimates may change with agreed scope or hidden conditions.

Get materials and site ready

Before construction begins, the necessary building materials should be available on site and the work area safely accessible. We'll make clear who is supplying what.

Build with care

We work methodically, communicate meaningful changes and protect the quality of the finished work. Weather, supply delays and unforeseen conditions can affect dates.

Walk through the result

We review the finished work with you, discuss any punch-list items, provide applicable documentation and settle final payment under our signed agreement.

THE PARTNERSHIP

What we need
from you.

A clean, accessible workspace. Clear decisions. Respectful communication. A little flexibility when real-world construction throws us a curveball.

Our side of the agreement

  • A written scope and thoughtful estimate
  • Clear materials responsibilities and payment schedule
  • Communication when milestones shift
  • Care for workmanship, safety and your property
THE IMPORTANT DETAILS

Open expectations.
From the beginning.

These plain-language guidelines help you decide whether we're a good fit. They are not a replacement for the legally compliant written contract specific to your project.

01 / OUR STANDARD

Scheduling, timing & communication

We're a small family-run operation, not an assembly line. Start dates and completion windows are estimates, subject to weather, site conditions, inspections, delayed materials, change orders and previous work. We communicate material changes as they arise. We don't accept abusive communication or pressure to compromise safety or workmanship.

02 / OUR STANDARD

A safe, accessible work area

Before arrival, please clear hazards, debris and obstructions and secure animals away from the work area. Because of respiratory sensitivity, indoor work areas must be free of pets and significant animal odors or airborne allergens. Please discuss access conditions in advance so we can assess whether the project can be performed safely.

03 / OUR STANDARD

Who supplies the materials?

You may source specified materials yourself or ask us to procure them. Owner-supplied materials must meet the agreed specification and be on site before scheduled work. Delays or shortages may require rescheduling and appropriate written changes. Unused owner-purchased materials remain with the owner.

04 / OUR STANDARD

Materials, taxes & warranties

If we source materials, our quoted material price may include purchasing, handling, delivery and a reasonable markup for our work. Supplier invoices and internal costs are not necessarily part of a fixed-price proposal, but required contract information and legally required records will be provided. Applicable sales and use taxes depend on the job and jurisdiction. Product warranties are the manufacturer's; we help customers locate warranty information.

05 / OUR STANDARD

Deposits, scheduling charges & cancellation

Any project-specific scheduling fee, material advance, cancellation charge (including a proposed $250 administrative fee), and reimbursement of documented, nonrecoverable expenses must be detailed in the signed contract and comply with applicable law. A proposed $500 scheduling fee is not automatically non-refundable. Consumer cancellation rights, escrow or bonding requirements, and legally required refunds take priority. We will not describe all deposits or building materials as categorically non-refundable.

06 / OUR STANDARD

Payments and project closeout

The agreed written contract identifies deposit handling, milestones, payment due dates and the final balance. Payments received before substantial completion may require a New York escrow account or qualifying alternative. Disputed charges and any lawful remedies, such as lien rights or interest, are governed by the contract and applicable law—not automatic penalties.

07 / OUR STANDARD

Respect goes both ways

We're guests on your property, and both sides deserve respect. We don't tolerate discrimination, harassment, threats or unsafe conduct. Serious breaches will be addressed through the contract's written remedies rather than arbitrary termination without notice.

08 / OUR STANDARD

Standing behind the work

We intend to offer a lifetime workmanship commitment, with the precise coverage, exclusions, transferability, claim process and definition of “lifetime” explained in a written warranty before signing. Normal wear, misuse, unrelated damage and manufacturer defects are different from workmanship defects. Please tell us directly about concerns so we have the opportunity to help.

09 / OUR STANDARD

Feedback & reviews

We value detailed, honest reviews—positive or negative—and welcome private feedback at the end of a project. Any completion discount will be described separately and will not be conditioned on posting a public review or leaving a particular rating.

Legal rights always come first. For applicable New York home-improvement agreements, consumer cancellation rights (generally three business days) and advance-payment escrow or bonding rules still apply. The signed agreement must satisfy the rules of the jurisdiction where the work occurs. Have any definitive fee, warranty and contract terms reviewed by a licensed construction attorney.
